In the midst of the pandemic, Echo Imaging Solutions recognized the need for a global platform to share knowledge and connect echocardiography professionals. By harnessing the power of social media, we began teaching echocardiographic techniques and fostering a worldwide community of echo experts.

Within just one year, our organic content reached over 1 million accounts each month, and teaching cases were being submitted from all over the world. This momentum led to the creation of a dedicated platform: The Echo Journal.

Today, we’re proud to serve professionals in over 130 countries, offering a space where knowledge is shared, expertise is refined, and the latest in echocardiography is showcased. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, The Echo Journal has something for you.

  • Aram Kerr

    FOUNDER

    Aram started his career as a Cardiac Sonographer at large teaching facilities, including Brigham and Women's Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital, where he solidified his commitment to lifelong learning and the identification of areas needing quality improvement. Aram is a summa cum laude graduate of MCPHS University where he earned a BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Echocardiography and an MBA in Healthcare Management.During his tenure as a travel Cardiac Sonographer, Kerr developed a keen understanding of various imaging workflows, processes, and patient outcomes. He is passionately committed to making an impact through The Echo Journal by connecting cardiovascular sonographers on a global scale.

  • Alex Chandler

    EDUCATION COORDINATOR

    Alex is a Maine native and Cardiac Sonographer with a background in research and peer-reviewed academic writing. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and an Associate's Degree in Cardiac Sonography as well as minors in Business Administration and Music. He brings his background in writing to The Echo Journal to grow our community and craft educational echocardiography lessons for all of our members.

    Hendre Van Rensburg

    AMBASSADOR

    We are excited to welcome Hendre to our team, joining us from South Africa. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Cardiac Clinical Technology from the Central University of Technology. With extensive experience in pacemakers, ECGs, and interventional cath lab procedures, Hendre brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that significantly enhances our platform.

    In addition to his clinical expertise, Hendre is an accomplished speaker and educator, regularly sharing his insights with healthcare professionals to help advance medical knowledge and improve patient care. Outside of work, Hendre enjoys spending quality time with his wife and baby boy, as well as hiking in the mountains to reconnect with nature. We’re thrilled to have him on board!
